What does eating "Paleo" mean to you?
Here at Paleo Greenville we try to keep our priorities in order. It's not so much which food philosophy you subscribe to today. We're in it for the long haul and for our health. That means eating only real foods that contribute to health and avoiding foods that cause inflammation and wreak havoc on your body.
Because Paleolithic man ate a certain way, does that mean we need to eat exactly the same? Of course not. But it gives us the most logical starting point for a nutritional framework, and supplies us with lots of testable hypotheses to make the science better.Maelán Fontes-Villalba, MS "Food and Western Disease Beyond Nutrients: Antinutrients"

What I think is of far more importance is to find the diet or life way that works for you. First, begin with a principle: Real Food and nothing but Real Food.Richard Nikoley, http://freetheanimal.com
What is Real Food?
Melissa and Dallas Hartwig's Whole30 Program can sum up Nutrition in 60 seconds.
We eat real food – meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, healthy oils, nuts and seeds. We choose foods that were raised, fed and grown naturally, and foods that are nutrient-dense, with lots of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.
This is not a "diet" – we eat as much as we need to maintain strength, energy, activity levels and a healthy body weight. We aim for well-balanced nutrition, so we eat animals and a significant amount of plants.
Eating like this has helped us to look, feel, live and perform our best, and reduces our risk for a variety of lifestyle-related diseases and conditions.
